I am excited as we start our new musical year with your kiddos! I have sent home the choir contracts as well as our practice schedule. Please let me know if you didn't get one! Also, the contract acknowledgement forms are due by our first rehearsal, October 4th.

New Choir Schedule

*We will no longer be practicing every Tuesday. Below is the NEW rehearsal schedule…PLEASE write this down as it is NOT quite an alternating schedule. Good Afternoon! I hope that this update finds everyone well after an AWESOME Thanksgiving break!

Thursday, December 3rd is Christmas in the Park and our choir has been asked again to participate!

The students are asked to wear something 'Christmas-y' (red, green, white, etc!) and of course Santa hats, reindeer antlers and all of that fun stuff are more then welcome!!!

Please have your child meet me in the area to the left of the gazebo in Welhausen Park at 5:45 PM. Santa will arrive at 6:00 and then we sing at 6:10!

Come out and enjoy some beautiful Christmas music from these amazingly talented kiddos! :-)

* Announcements* 

- If your child still needs to order a choir shirt, please let me know ASAP! I need to get those ordered and not everyone has sent their form back. 

- There are STILL a handful of students who haven't turned in their fundraiser monies or remaining chocolate bars. I am holding off on handing out prizes until everyone has theirs turned in!

- I am still in need of a couple of parents to join us for our choir tour on Monday, December 14th. (Notice the date change) Please let me know if you are available to help out with that! We will be leaving the school around 9:45 and returning before the bell for school to release! I will buy you lunch! :-)

*ANNOUNCEMENTS*

NO practice Tuesday November 24th as we have early release and UIL meets.

We will be singing for Christmas in the Park on Thursday, December 3rd! We will be singing around 5:30 :-) Attire is Christmas wear, santa hats, etc. :-)

Our Annual Choir Tour will be during the school day on December 14th. DATE CHANGE! We will be leaving the school around 9:45 and will sing at Shiner Nursing home at 10:30am and then head to lunch in Yoakum. We will then head to Moulton to sing at Shady Oaks at 2:00pm. We will be needing a few parents to chaperone so if anyone is available, please let me know. This will be first come, first served. roses@shinerisd.net

***Veteran's Day Ceremony***

Wednesday, November 11th 2:45PM in the SISD Gymnasium

Choir members need to wear red, white or blue! I will send a reminder home with them tomorrow after practice! Parents/Family/friends are more than welcome to come and hear them sing! :-)

They can wear jeans, a skirt, or slacks. Preferably NOT shorts!

Also, there are a significant amount of students who have NOT turned in their money/chocolates from the fundraiser! Please help me out by getting this in ASAP!

Good Morning!

I wanted to apologize about the last minute cancellation of choir this week. We sent reminders home and an announcement was made from the front office on Monday. Our HS Area Marching Contest had been rescheduled from Sat to Sun then to Tues.

I know some kids were freaking out about fundraiser money so I wanted to let everyone know the official due date is FRIDAY!

I have 3 boxes left if anyone wants to pick up and quick sell one :-)

Thanks so much for your understanding during this CRAZY time of year (known as Band-tober!) Our next scheduled choir rehearsal is Tuesday, November 3rd.

Don't forget to get your Red, White, or Blue to wear to the Veteran's Day Ceremony on 11-11 in the SISD Gymnasium. Our uniform will be red, white, or blue for this event!
